We are seeking a skilled and motivated Outsourcing Specialist (Chemist) to join Analytics Outsourcing team in Method Development Center, Orion.
Your role as Outsourcing Specialist, is to ensure the quality and compliance of outsourced analysis for Orion products and maintain high quality standard in a GMP regulated environment together with other team members.
Employment type is full term and full-time in one shift. Position is located either in Espoo or Turku and work is done primary on-site with possibility to work remote occasionally.
Responsibilities
- To ensure the analysis in Contract laboratories (CRO) are performed according to GMP and in timely manner

Participate in investigations and root cause analyses related to laboratory and quality deviations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Control, Quality Assurance and outsourced laboratories

Participation in laboratory audits and development of auditing expertise as part of the role

What are we looking for?
- A relevant university degree in chemistry or a related field

Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in a quality control environment

Previous experience with different analysis techniques such as chromatography, ICP, MS are highly valuable

Prior experience of GMP regulations and quality systems

Interest in laboratory audits, and willingness to be trained as an auditor.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Good tolerance of routine work in changing environment

Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in team is needed

Fluent Finnish both spoken and written is required. Good communication skills (both written and

Quality management (QM) is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, products and operations, as well as maintaining and developing the quality system and monitoring the regulatory environment. Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety unit is responsible for the global pharmacovigilance system of Orion Corporation and for the continuous safety surveillance, regulatory reporting and safety risk management activities of human and veterinary medicinal and non-medicinal products.
The QM function consists of about 350 experts who work in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality System, Method Development and the Pharmacovigilance & Drug safety unit. We are located in Espoo, Turku, Salo and Kuopio plants, in addition to the Quality Assurance team in India reporting dotted-line to QM. There are totally approx. 30 persons working in Method Development Center in Espoo and Turku.
