About the position

As a Performance Analytics Manager in Fortum Consumer Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping our organization's success by leveraging data to drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge analytics solutions that provide valuable insights into our sales and service operations across the Nordics.

Your expertise will be essential in creating situational awareness across the organization, enabling our teams to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimize performance throughout the customer journey. With significant autonomy, you will closely collaborate with decision-makers to define and implement harmonized KPIs, leveraging your analytical and commercial skills to drive the Performance Management in Nordic Customers forward. Ideal candidates have some years of relevant experience and excel at the intersection of data and business.

The role will be part of a Nordic team of eight people, and reports to Senior Manager, Performance Analytics & Insights. The position is based at our Campus in Stockholm Solna, Sweden.

Responsibility areas

As a Performance Analytics Manager, you will lead the development of automated, user-friendly reports to facilitate business and operational steering. This includes management of the Nordic Customers PowerBi app and the underlying data model, definition and implementation of harmonized KPIs and ensuring the data quality and availability.

Furthermore, you will lead resource planning and prioritization efforts to optimize the productivity and efficiency of our Customer Performance Analysts. This involves fostering transparency with stakeholders, effectively managing their expectations, and providing necessary support and quality assurance whenever required.

You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and share best practices, and provide support, training and documentation to end-users on the implemented solutions. Additionally, you will be the link between Nordic Customers Teams and the internal data team, supporting the development and maintenance of data pipelines and relevant models.

Your expertise will be crucial in representing our team in customer portfolio migration and other relevant projects, promoting a data-driven way of working and ensuring seamless reporting at all times.

Qualifications

  • Higher relevant education, preferably in technology / economics, with emphasis on quantitative subjects and IT
  • Expert user in PowerBI including: ​
    • Advanced knowledge of DAX and M -languages, and their pros and cons.​
    • Expertise in data modelling by applying dimensional modelling techniques.​
    • Ability to analyse and optimize reports by knowing how Power BI's VertiPaq engine functions under the hood.​
    • Ability to work as a Power BI Service workspace admin and a champion who drives insight-driven culture forward.​
  • Expertise in SQL and experience in working with a data warehouse or data lake.​
  • Knowledge in processing data with Python or Scala, preferably by utilizing Databricks.​
  • Work experience in relevant field, with proven track-record of creating business growth or improved collaboration through visualization of data. ​
  • Capabilities and experience working with machine learning and the application of AI are an advantage.
  • Good written and verbal ability in English and any of the Nordic languages. Fortum's working language is English.

To succeed in this position, you need strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to structured problem-solving. A commercial mindset, high drive, and target orientation are key, as well as being an effective communicator and relationship-builder. Being self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively is crucial, along with attention to detail in your work. You are also curious and innovative with a focus on applying new technologies, automation of tasks and using hypothesis testing in your problem-solving approach.
