Product Manager, Recovery Boilers

We are now looking for a Product Manager to our Recovery Boiler team in Tampere. We work as a part of the Recovery Business unit developing, selling and delivering recovery boilers to pulp industry customers around the world.

As the Product Manager you know our technology inside out and you will become the guru of recovery boilers for the whole company. Your main responsibilities include final acceptance for technical solutions in sales and execution projects, approving performance guarantees, participating in guarantee tests, improving our product competitiveness and managing the product-related risks.

You are a gatekeeper for the concepts we offer to customers and thus have an important role in the sales phase, but with your expertise you will also support troubleshooting cases during installation and guarantee phase.

You will participate in development work through strategy planning and giving input to new initiatives. You oversee and approve the product model and standardization.This is a very visible role, where you get to work closely with the customer and with a lot of internal stakeholders globally. Much of your time is spent for example in risk, concept, technology and Hazop reviews with different people. You will thus have colleagues to spar with, but ultimately you have a strong individual responsibility in making decisions.

Expectations

You should have at least a Master's degree in Technology, for example in process or energy technology or chemistry. Most importantly you need to have years of solid experience of recovery boilers and its auxiliaries, on both theoretical and practical level. You need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. This position requires frequent travelling, sometimes on short notice.

You enjoy working with technology and innovations and you are proud of the quality of your work.

You are driven by providing the best possible solutions to meet customers' needs and by improving our product. You are comfortable with making decisions independently with incomplete information, and you can live with the consequences without losing your sleep. The best results still come from working together, so you need good cooperation and communication skills to lead your stakeholders towards the common goal.
