About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and dedicated Sales / Key Account Manager to join our Marine aftermarket organization. In this role, you will promote and sell HI-FOG fire suppression service, refit and modernization offerings to dedicated customers, including ship owners, shipyards, operators, and distributors/agents. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, nurturing existing customer relationships, and using customer feedback to further develop our service offering and solutions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- 3–5 years of experience in complex B2B technical solution sales, preferably in the marine industry or in another global business environment
- Solid technical understanding gained through technical education or extensive work experience
- Strong proficiency with the MS Office tools, CRM tools, and a basic understanding of AutoCAD
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities, with fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Independence, commitment, and strong organizational skills
- Experience and proficiency in handling negotiations, with a customer-oriented attitude
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Result oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel
Although not necessary, it would be an advantage:
- Previous experience selling or working with plumbing/hydraulic, fire protection/suppression
- Finnish or other European language knowledge
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, approach, and acquire/onboard new customers within the marine aftermarket business (service contracts, upgrades/modernizations/retrofits, preventive maintenance projects)
- Maintain and further develop existing customer relationships, exploring additional needs and upselling
- Create long-term strategic plans for your own accounts and further improve Marioff’s service offering based on competitor analysis and customer feedback
- Provide outstanding customer service, frequently visiting customers in different continents
- Handle technical and commercial negotiations and participate in creating quotations, contracts, and commercial and technical proposals
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Project/Installation teams, and Management
