SENIOR ADVISOR, WORK IN FINLAND
Work in Finland unit is now looking for an experienced Senior Advisor for international talent attraction activities targeted at top experts, researchers and startup entrepreneurs. In this role, you will be responsible for business and stakeholder collaboration that supports the attraction of these key profiles to Finland, and for ensuring that Work in Finland’s operational work is closely aligned with Business Finland’s strategic priorities and growth areas.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
The key tasks in the role:
- You will develop and coordinate international startup attraction activities, including planning and implementing startup attraction operations in key foreign markets, building and managing partnerships abroad as well as with Finnish startup ecosystems.
- Managing thematic talent & startup attraction projects, including activating companies, research institutions and stakeholders into cooperation with Work in Finland
- Developing the service path for international startup entrepreneurs in close collaboration with Finland’s startup ecosystem and other Business Finland colleagues.
- Integrating international talent and startup attraction theme into Business Finland´s strategic themes and Growth Area work by harnessing business intelligence into actionable projects.
- Representing Work in Finland and Business Finland in working groups, events and media in matters related to attracting international startup founders, highly skilled professionals and researchers.
- Collaborating with marketing regarding lead generation, startupinfinland.com website and events.
WHO AND WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Experience and visionary approach in the talent and startup attraction work
- Knowledge of and connections in startup & growth ecosystems and public-private partnerships
- Experience in impactful company customer activation, including utilization of CRM
- Experience in project management and event management and coordination
- Communication skills: Networking, public speaking, acting as a media spokesperson, writing reports and memos
- Ability to work in multi-cultural and -stakeholder environments, including Ministries, Embassies, business organizations and growth ecosystems
- Analytical and business intelligence skills: comfort working with data and analytical tools
- Flexible attitude and ability to adjust in fast-paced environment
- Excellent English skills, Finnish skills are seen as an asset
- Willingness to travel
- A relevant Master’s degree in a related field

- Knowledge and understanding of labour-based migration
- Expertise in one or several Finland's growth sector(s)
- Understanding of digital platforms
