Senior Buyer

• The Senior Buyer will be based at Eaton's new Critical Power Solutions campus in Vantaa and manage tactical relationships with local key suppliers.
• You will manage sourcing from requirement identification to material delivery, including NPD sourcing, RFQs, supplier selection, price negotiations and savings reporting.
• You will ensure supplier resiliency and capacity, identify and mitigate supply risks, and drive cost reductions through negotiation and re‑sourcing.
• The role requires a relevant Bachelor's degree, manufacturing purchasing experience, fluent Finnish and English, and experience with SAP and analytics tools.

Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, was completed in November 2023. The 16,500 m² site houses research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof, which will create plenty of additional jobs.

Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility serves as Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you’ll do:

Take tactical responsibility of local key suppliers. Manage sourcing flow from requirement identification to material delivery. This includes NPD sourcing activities, new item RFQ process, supplier selection, price negotiations, saving project identification and reporting.

Support business growth by ensuring supplier resiliency, capacity increase, and key KPI improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in New product Development projects as sourcing representative
- Secure timely sourcing activities in co-operation with key stakeholders (R&D engineering, production, quality teams)
- Driving new item creation RFQ process according to Eaton policies
- Ensure optimal supply base to meet agreed targets (cost, quality, availability)
- Develop local supply capacity to enable Eaton growth and resiliency, ansure supplier complaince to Eaton terms of business
- Identify potential supply risks and create mitigation tactics
- Act as key local stakeholder towards global procurement, CoE sourcing team and CoE buyer teams
- Drive cost reduction via negotiation, re-sourcing and manage monthly reporting of savings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science/Logistics/SCM/Business Adminstration
• Experience in purchasing and sourcing from manufacturing industry

Skills:

• Fluent Finnish and English
• Sourcing process skills, negotiation, analytics tools (BI, excel)
• SAP experience
