Valmet EMEA Finland Service Operations are operating locally in Finland and across areas by supporting the local sales and having direct deliveries to the end customers. The organization employs more than 400 professionals who are managing high number of deliveries and projects on annual basis to drive our customer's performance forward.
We are now looking for a Service Specialist to Valmet's Field Services team with a strong focus on serving our customers in tail threading equipment services.
Your main tasks as Service Specialist are:
Perform tail threading equipment services to our designated customers in Finland and abroad
Ensure the successful start-ups on-site during the service breakouts
Participate in the development of processes, devices and tools in your own area
Generating reports (service reports, feedback for equipment and processes development)
Work closely with other group team members, sales support, Mill Sales Managers and experts in engineering and technology
We expect you to have a suitable technical education (M.Sc. or a B.Sc.). Previous experience of tail threading equipment is highly appreciated. Experience in working at customer sites and general knowledge of paper and board technology will contribute to success in your work.
Most importantly, we are looking for a true team player with customer-facing attitude and nerves of steel as you will often work in environment, where performing under constant time-pressure is a norm. You are capable to prioritize your work, remain focused and retain the high quality of work even under pressure.
Variety of customer situations require you to think outside the box to find the best solutions for the customer. You will work with both internal and external stakeholder groups so good networking and communication skills will help you to succeed in this position.
As a Service Specialist travelling and visiting customer sites is the essential part of the job. Our customers are mainly in Europe, but some also in other Valmet market areas. You have the ability and willingness to travel approximately 140 - 160 days annually and sometimes with a short notice, too! You communicate fluently in English (both written and spoken) and Finnish. Other languages are a benefit. In your daily tasks, you will use Valmet IT tools and MS Office software, so basic IT skills are needed.
