About your role
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Sourcing Manager to strengthen our growing Consumer Health procurement category. The portfolio covers non-prescription medicines, medical devices, food supplements, and cosmetics. The position offers a great opportunity to manage the end-to-end supply chain of a dedicated portfolio and provides a versatile outlook on the pharmaceutical industry.
In your role as a Sourcing Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring product availability, cost competitiveness, and supply chain performance by leading the cross-functional supplier management process within your supplier portfolio. Driving continuous improvement throughout the end-to-end supply chain process and optimizing its efficiency are part of your responsibilities. You work in close cooperation with several internal stakeholders including Operative Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Lifecycle Management, Packaging Technology, Commercial Operations, and Business. Through your contribution, you will ensure that service level, total cost, and growth targets are achieved. The role involves both operational and managerial tasks.
You will report to the Head of External Supply Operations, Consumer Health. The position is permanent and located in Espoo or Turku. The role includes international travel, but work is mainly performed at the office or remotely (hybrid work possibility).
Your key responsibilities

Manage a selected supplier base in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Manage the supply, availability, and profitability of your product portfolio.

Plan and lead strategic actions and risk management activities together with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Our expectations
We are looking for a positive and proactive professional who accepts demanding goals and shows drive and determination in achieving them. Enthusiasm for working in procurement and supplier management, a positive can-do attitude, and strong ownership along with excellent cooperation, networking, and negotiation skills are essential to have in this role.
- An applicable university degree
- Experience in supply chain and strategic procurement or another relevant field
- Business-oriented mindset, self-driven, and ability to handle multiple tasks
- An eye for detail, but also an understanding of the big picture
- Fluent in English and Finnish
Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. from procurement, production, life-cycle management, or quality management) as well as experience with and enthusiasm for analytical tools is an advantage.

Unit description
Orion's Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management.
In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (Externally Sourced Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development.
The External Supply Operations (ESO) process is one of the three main processes within Orion Global Operations. We are responsible for the supplier management of a supplier portfolio that includes more than 150 suppliers globally. Our key targets are service level, total cost, and compliance (GMP/EHS). Our work directly impacts the success of Orion's key business areas, and we work closely to align our targets with the business‑specific targets.
