We are now looking for a Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) to strengthen our Supply Chain Quality capabilities within our Business Unit. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring supplier quality performance, supporting business growth and driving continuous improvement together with internal stakeholders and external partners.
What you’ll do:
As a Supplier Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing and improving the quality performance of assigned suppliers and supporting operational excellence across the supply base. This is a hands on role working closely with Procurement, Engineering, Operations and suppliers.
Your key responsibilities include:
• Acting as the primary quality interface between Eaton and assigned suppliers
• Driving supplier quality performance, including PPAP, APQP, audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities
• Supporting new product introductions and supplier industrialization activities
• Leading root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier quality issues
• Monitoring and reporting supplier quality KPIs and driving improvement plans
• Collaborating closely with internal cross functional teams to ensure robust supplier quality outcomes
Qualifications:
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Auditor or Lead Auditor certification (e.g. ISO 9001 or equivalent) is required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environment
• Proven experience working with suppliers, including on site activities at supplier locations
Skills:
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, auditing practices and supplier quality processes
• Comfortable working on supplier sites, across different environments, cultures, and levels of maturity
• Cooperative, respectful, and constructive working style, with the ability to build quality together with suppliers rather than enforcing it top down
• Ability to influence and drive improvement even in challenging supplier situations
• Strong problem solving skills and adaptability in complex, global environments
• Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–20%
