Technical Product Owner (Cloud & Digital Development)

• You will turn an internal monitoring prototype into a secure, scalable cloud production tool while bridging business and software teams.
• You will translate operational needs into user stories, maintain backlogs and roadmaps, facilitate steering meetings, and support the agile team to ensure aligned delivery.
• The role requires practical Product Owner or Technical Project Manager experience, strong stakeholder management and communication, advanced English, and good knowledge of cloud architecture, delivery pipelines and IT security (preferably Microsoft Azure).

About the role

Our client is a Nordic organization managing critical infrastructure and forward-looking digital initiatives. In this role, you will take ownership of turning an internal, domain-validated monitoring prototype into a secure, scalable production solution. You will serve as the central link between business and a software development team, translating real-world operational needs into clear development priorities and system specifications. Working alongside subject-matter experts, you will ensure the final solution meets high standards for security, reliability and usability.

Work tasks

• Translate operational and business requirements into clear user stories and development priorities.

• Guide the transition of the current prototype into a production-ready, secure digital platform together with IT and architecture teams.

• Facilitate steering group meetings and report on progress, risks, and next steps.

• Support the agile development team by clarifying requirements, removing roadblocks, and ensuring delivery alignment.

• Maintain project documentation, backlogs, and release roadmaps.

We are looking for

• Good practical knowledge of working as a Product Owner, Technical Project Manager or similar role within digital development.
• Good practical understanding of cloud architecture, software delivery pipelines, and IT security principles (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Advanced practical skills in stakeholder management, communication and facilitation.
• Advanced communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Readiness to undergo and successfully pass an official security clearance process required for critical environments.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Familiarity with IT flow operating models and agile practices (Jira/Confluence)
• Experience in industrial sectors, safety-critical systems, operational technology, asset/system monitoring or hydropower/energy.
• Swedish or Finnish language skills

Skills and knowledge can be gained from different sources and projects; the most critical factor is your capability to facilitate cross-border collaboration and turn functional concepts into scalable digital solutions.

A security clearance will be conducted for the selected candidate prior to the start of the assignment.
