Test Designer, Mechanics

We are seeking a Mechanical Test Designer to work closely with R&D and Production teams to ensure functionality, identify process issues, and verify performance against requirements.

You will collaborate with Test Engineering (HW, SW) and R&D teams to develop test application mechanics in Oulu and transfer them to global manufacturing sites. The role offers opportunities to apply automation and electronic design skills while working with global teams.

• Design, validate, and document test application mechanics
• Collaborate globally with designers, engineers, and factories
• Provide product testability feedback
• Ensure ergonomics and safety compliance
• Participate in problem-solving
   

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must-have:

• Electro-mechanical 3D CAD experience (preferably Creo)
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and plating
• Understanding of mechanism design and pneumatic systems
• Fluent English

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of product design impact on test and manufacturing
• Experience in robotics and automation
• Knowledge of CE marking and risk assessment
• Wire harness tools experience
• Tolerance analysis and FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
• Basic RF, electronics, and electrical knowledge
