We are looking for a Financial Accounting & Reporting Controller to join our Financial Services in Helsinki.
In this role you will part of a team responsible for implementing a new finance system for centralized VR accounting, IFRS and local GAAP reporting and tax reporting covering all VR business units and common functions. The role is part of our Financial Services organisation. You will focus on our new finance system implementation in close cooperation with our Financial controllers responsible for financial services for our legal entities covering financial reporting, support in management reporting, and tax matters in Finland and Sweden.

We are looking for a team player, with experience on financial reporting and finance system implementation project(s), preferably some experience also in asset accounting. You are not afraid of process development, automation nor harmonization of processes, and you feel at home in a fast changing environment. You are familiar with system implementations and change management is your second nature.

Main responsibilities include:
- taking one of the key roles in finance system implementation project, ensuring the new system provides timely, high-quality and efficient platform for financial reporting for the next decades covering all VR entities
- development of the financial processes with your finance colleagues as part of finance transformation where system implementation is one part of the change in both processes and ways of working
- supporting business stakeholders in system implementation and master data set-up related Finance topics
- ensuring efficient and good cooperation with VR teams and system implementation partner covering system build, testing, training, migrations and go-lives
- continuing after the implementation as one of the key users of the new finance system in VR Financial services
- participating hands-on in problem solving and supporting colleagues and stakeholders in finance transformation
- tackling ad-hoc issues with agility
You have
- B.Sc. and/or M.Sc in Finance or Accounting or corresponding academic degree
- Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English language skills, Swedish is an asset
- Experience in accounting, financial reporting and accounting practises and process development
- Experience in finance system implementation in a complex environment including change management and process re-design
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills
- Pro-active approach and solution-oriented ways of working
