Job Description
Portfolio Manager, Equities –is responsible for managing fundamental stock-picking Nordic equity portfolios. This role requires a deep understanding of equity markets, company analysis, and risk management. Portfolio Manager is expected to participate in all stages of the investment process, lead investment decisions, and communicate strategies to different internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the return and risk profile of Nordic equity funds, as well as the implementation of investment strategies.
- Contribute to the development of the investment process, including company analysis, valuation, ESG integration, and risk management.
- Make independent investment decisions and actively participate in the team’s knowledge sharing and decision-making.
- Monitor markets, identify new investment opportunities, and assess both macro-level and company-specific risks.
- Report portfolio performance to management and clients.
- Actively participate in company meetings, due diligence processes, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Communicate investment views clearly, both in writing and verbally, for example through research notes and presentations.
- Develop team expertise and act as a mentor for junior analysts.
Qualifications and Core Competencies
- Education & Credentials: Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. CFA or other internationally recognized investment certifications are considered an advantage.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in equity portfolio management or in analyst role with a proven track record.
- Analytical & Technical Skills: In-depth expertise in financial modeling, valuation, investment analysis, and ESG analysis. Experience in programming and fluency in Python or other relevant programming languages are considered a benefit.
- Communication & Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English; proficiency in other languages is considered an advantage.
