Project Controller

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Controller for a permanent employment. In this position, you will participate in the tasks of financial management of projects in an international working environment, from the beginning of projects to their end.

As a Project Controller, your working days consist of supporting project managers in managing the financial affairs of projects in AFRY Management Consulting AB in Sweden. You will play your part in ensuring that financial administration tasks are handled flexibly and promote the smooth running of projects. As a rule, you participate in the financial management of projects by monitoring and checking hourly records and expenses, sales invoicing, project budgeting, making estimates, and you also act as technical support for project managers in financial systems.

Work tasks include:

• Opening and closing projects
• Monitoring, supporting and profitability monitoring of projects' life cycle
• Project budgeting and ensuring the correctness of budget calculations
• Monthly reporting, if necessary, also to the customer's systems
• Sales invoicing
• Other administrative tasks, such as archiving project contracts
• Projects are strategic and operational advisory services covering clients in Energy, Forest and Chemicals & Biorefining sectors as well as sustainability sector.

Project Controller's week is versatile. Depending on the situation, Project Controller supports with the world of opening and closing projects, project budgeting, discussions how to update project budgets and advising in project related financial matters.

Qualifications

In order to succeed in this role, you have:

• M.Sc. in Economics or similar or B.SC (tradenomi)
• 2-4 years of experience from the similar type of tasks
• Experience in accounting support tasks and experience in working with project business
• Good IT skills (MSOffice/Excel) and the ability to adopt new systems. The project management system we use is Maconomy
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills (our corporate, reporting and system language is English). Swedish language skills is a positive add-on.

You stand out if you have flexibility, self-initiative, willingness to develop, accuracy, care and the ability to team work. Ability to build an overview from details is a big advantage.
