We are looking for a Senior Software Engineers to participate independently and together with the team to system software development. You will be joining the Automation Platform R&D unit in Valmet's Automation Solutions Business Area, Tampere, Finland.

Expectations for you

At least 3 years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with C++.

Proven experience in embedded systems or middleware framework development is required. Mastery of both is a strong advantage.

You write clean, maintainable code and value reliability. You understand the importance of robust unit testing. Our solutions are built to operate for decades.

You don't need to be a DevOps expert, but familiarity with test automation and CI/CD practices is valuable. Experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA is considered a plus.

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or a related field.

Command of English (spoken and written) is required. Finnish skills are an advantage.

Previous exposure to automation environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
