We are looking for a
Summer trainee, Operative Purchasing
to join Normet's Operative Purchasing team in Iisalmi, on 4th May - 28th Aug 2026.
The team is responsible for securing material availability in production, in accordance with the factory procurement schedule. The team is working closely with colleagues in sourcing, production and many other Normet's teams.
In this position, you will participate in operative purchasing supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency and high delivery performance. You will be based in Iisalmi. Part of the work can be done remotely, but Iisalmi office will be your primary working location.
A person with a systematic approach, good IT skills (Power BI, Excel, SharePoint and office tools) and good communication skills (Finnish and English) will stand out in this job.
Main responsibilities and tasks:

Controlling the material supply from order to delivery

Monitoring supplier performance
To shine in this position, we hope you have:

Minimum of one year of bachelor's degree studies in Business, Engineering or other
relevant fields

Work experience in purchasing or other supply chain functions is considered as an advantage

Good communication skills in Finnish and English

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Proactive way of working and eagerness to learn

Results-driven attitude
