Product Management Engineer, Suction rolls

Suction roll is a versatile runnability and water removal component in board and paper machine with several different applications and installation positions.

We are looking for a Product Management Engineer for Suction Rolls of Paper and Board Machines.

In this position you work in close co-operation with Product Manager in order to develop technical and cost competitiveness of suction roll products. Your main tasks include creating and maintaining product models as well as updating application and engineering instructions. Handling product feedback also plays an important part in your role. Development of supplier network as well as initiating and participating development projects and tasks is on your table as well. You play an important role in giving technical support for Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Production.  

As a Product Management Engineer you will work as a part of Rolls Development Team with versatile experts around you. Good team skills and open mind for new ideas and continuous development will help you in this position. Willingness to travel is necessary occasionally.

Who is the professional we are looking for?

Your role is to provide expertise for our product management. In practice this means an educational background in mechanical engineering (Bachelor's or Master's degree). Engineering working experience in paper making lines is an advantage, but you can also be in the beginning of your professional career.

Motivation and ability to learn constantly is important for us. You are already familiar with 3D engineering software (We use Catia V6). Understanding of manufacturing methods is an advantage.

You are good in analytical thinking and problem solving and your way of working is systematic, analytic and result-oriented. You are persistent in digging into details. You have good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English, other language skills are beneficial.
