Arctial is developing Europe’s most advanced, low-carbon primary aluminium smelter on the border of Kokkola and Kruunupyy. Arctial is a joint venture backed by leading industrial partners, including Rio Tinto, Mitsubishi Corporation, Fortum, ABB, Siemens Financial Services, Tesi and Vargas.
After more than three decades without new primary aluminium production in continental Europe, Project Arctial represents a major industrial breakthrough. Powered by low-carbon electricity and proven technology, the facility will produce aluminium with a carbon footprint far below today’s standards. If realized, the project is expected to create around 1,200 direct jobs and several thousand indirect jobs in the region.
Arctial is strengthening its financial management - and we’re now looking for an energetic and forward-looking
