Senior Data Engineer, Alma Insights

• You will be a hands-on Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the internal data warehouse and pipelines as an individual contributor.
• You will build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS (Redshift) and GCP (BigQuery) using dbt and Airflow or Dagster and write production-grade Python and SQL.
• You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver reliable, well-structured data that powers Alma’s B2B products and has direct business impact.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join Alma Insights and help us build the internal data warehouse that drives Finland’s most trusted B2B data services.

The role

You’ll be a core member of our data engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the pipelines and infrastructure that power our internal data warehouse. This is a hands-on individual contributor role, no management responsibilities, just deep technical work with real business impact.

What you’ll do and what you bring

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS (Redshift) and GCP (BigQuery), with dbt for transformation and Airflow or Dagster for orchestration
• Write production-grade Python and SQL
• Contribute to deployment and infrastructure-as-code with Docker, Terraform, and Git
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and sales and marketing teams to deliver reliable, well-structured data the business can trust
• Use AI tools actively as part of your daily workflow, for code generation, debugging, documentation, and exploration, and see them as a force multiplier, not a shortcut
