Oura's engineering organization consists of talented developers distributed across the EU and US. For day-to-day feature work, our engineers are organized into smaller cross-functional teams. Our teams have a great deal of autonomy and are responsible for the design, development and architecture of their features. Teams take full ownership of their code and handle everything from concepting, design and implementation to release, maintenance and bug fixes.

About the role

This role is for a Senior IT Systems/Platform Engineer based in Helsinki to oversee IT infrastructure and operations within a regulated, high-growth environment.

You are a senior individual contributor with a broad IT platform and systems engineering ownership. As the right candidate you are not a specialist in a single domain, but a well-rounded enterprise IT engineer who can move fluidly across identity (Okta/EntraID), endpoint engineering (UEM/MDM), and day-to-day systems engineering depending on what the team needs. You provide the only engineering presence in the EU timezone, making high autonomy and strong judgment non-negotiable. You will also serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for the IT support team, handling issues that go beyond what the Tier 1-2 Support team can resolve.

Key Requirements

● Experience: 6+ years in enterprise IT systems engineering, with strong written and verbal communication skills. (English and Finnish)

● Technical Expertise: Proficiency in IAM (Okta/EntraID), Endpoint management (Jamf/Intune), multi-cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible/Pulumi).

● Operational Proficiency: Experience working in regulated environments (SOX/HIPAA) and utilizing agile methodologies (Jira/Confluence).

● Support & Coordination: Capability to act as a Tier 3 escalation point and manage relationships with outsourced network partners.

● Strong written and verbal communication - proactive, structured, async-first across a global distributed team

● Working language; English mandatory + Finnish preferred

Core Responsibilities

● Identity & Access Management: Engineer + Administer Okta, JML automation, and SCIM provisioning to support identity governance.

● Infrastructure Management: Oversee MDM/UEM policy management and day-to-day operations for network infrastructure in the EU.

● IT Engineering: Provide senior IT level systems engineering, tooling maintenance, and ad hoc support.

● Strategic Initiatives: Coordinate with vendors and contribute to the maturation of identity and automation programs.

● Network infrastructure support experience working alongside an outsourced Network-as-a-Service partner; able to coordinate on configurations troubleshoot issues, manage escalations, and own the day-to-day operational relationship
