About the role

Service Specialist is a customer-oriented technical expert role with a strong aspect of cooperation across organisation and company boundaries. You will, as a team member configure, deploy and support several different modules of our TOPi product family. Also, you will contribute to the design, development and testing activities in cooperation with our in-house development team.

You will support our industrial customers, including some Fortum units, with their specific needs and, as a member of the team, help them resolve their business and technical challenges. You will closely work with senior colleagues who will support your and help you develop your specific knowledge.

Our joint product team consists of people from both IT and business organisations. Our customers are European energy sector companies and actors, which run district heat, electricity or hydrogen producing plants. In this team, you will continuously learn more about our customers' business. Our IT organisation will support you in keeping your technical knowledge up to date and learning new skills and competences. Our networked mode of operation also provides future opportunities to work with other comparable products or business areas but initially you will focus on one of our core products.

We're looking for a new team member to join us in Espoo Finland, but we work flexibly in a hybrid model that adapts to both your professional and personal needs.

About you

You are a customer-oriented technical expert with great collaboration skills across organizational boundaries. You will act as the intermediate between our development team and customer, so you hopefully have some experience working interactively with customers. To enable good communication with them, fluent Finnish and English language skills are required.

To succeed in this role, you would have knowledge in some of these technologies and willingness to learn more about the others:

• Product applications (installations, configurations, testing, training)
• Apache Tomcat
• HTTP protocol
• HTTP language
• MS Office applications, like Excel
• SFTP, FTP protocols for file transfer
• VPN connections
• Database basic understanding (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Aspen InfoPlus.21)
• SQL scripting
• Windows 2xxx Server
• Linux (Ubuntu)
